ABOUT

Image of a kitchen in pencil sketch drawing style

I didn't start out as an interior designer.  In college, I studied biology and art history.  I went on to get a masters degree in health administration and had a successful career working for various hospitals and healthcare companies.  But I have always had a passion for interior design.  And every so often, I would wonder, what if I changed careers?

I decided to act on that dream.  I pursued further education in interior design, so that I can marry my design talent with technical expertise and bring to you my best work.

I love what I do.  And I want to help you to love where you live.

Hi, I'm Cindy

"Cindy listened to my likes/dislikes and created a space that brings me joy. She monitored all of the construction, timelines, materials, so that I didn't have to worry about a thing. I can't recommend Cindy Carpenter Interior Design enough; professional yet personable."

It's About Good Design

I believe good design is about more than just looks.  A room can be gorgeous but completely miss the mark in functionality.  Good design must first address the problems of the space--those issues that have bothered you from Day 1, that lack of storage, that cramped feeling... Whatever the problem is, it doesn't go away simply with pretty furnishings or materials.

Bottom line: good design solves problems.

How do I solve problems?  I bring an eye for detail and practicality to your project.  From my previous career in healthcare administration, I bring my business acumen and problem-solving mindset.  I listen to not only your likes, but also your dislikes.  I bring creative solutions.

What sets me apart?  My approach to design.  It's simple: it's about you.  It's about how you want to feel in your home.  It's about making your home useful.  Efficient.  And, of course, beautiful.
